Some tunes don’t sit comfortably in any particular category. They may have been introduced by dance masters of old to suit the steps of a certain dance being taught. Likewise the tune may have been in the repertoire of an influential musician, and with the passage of time became ingrained in the fabric of the traditional music of the area. Whatever the reason, they will appear in this section of the website.
